Hand washing with soap and water is one of the most effective measures against infectious disease. The practice is safe, cheap and not time consuming. But, unfortunately, the knowledge and practice of hand washing in the community appeared to be poor even today. The present study was carried out to study the Knowledge Attitude and Practice of hand hygiene, which could be a critical factor in the development of disease in the community.
